AI credits
AI credits are consumed by the Creator Agent (content generation, images, video), the Tutor Agent (learner Q&A), and the Assessment Agent (essay and dialogue grading).
- Paid plans include a monthly credit allowance (refreshes each billing cycle)
- Unused credits do not roll over
- Additional credits can be purchased at any time from User Menu → Billing
- Free plan users are charged per use with no monthly allowance
Credit costs vary by action — generating a text block costs less than generating a video. You can track your credit usage under User Menu → Billing.
Choosing AI models
Different AI tasks can use different models. Go to User Menu → Account → AI tab to select models for content generation, image generation, video generation, grading, programming, and translation. More capable models produce better results but consume more credits per action — this lets you optimise for quality or budget depending on the task. See AI Features → Overview for details.
Changing your plan
- Go to User Menu → Billing
- Click Change Plan
- Select the new plan
- Confirm
Upgrades take effect immediately. Downgrades take effect at the end of the current billing period.
Note: If you downgrade and your current usage exceeds the new plan's limits (e.g., more than 3 courses on Free), existing courses remain accessible but you won't be able to create new ones until you're within limits.
Billing cycle
Plans are billed monthly or yearly. Your billing date is the day you first subscribed. Yearly billing saves 20%.
Payment methods
LearnBuilder accepts major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express). Payment is handled securely via Stripe.
Invoices
Past invoices are available in Billing → Invoice History. Each invoice can be downloaded as a PDF.
Cancelling your subscription
- Go to User Menu → Billing
- Click Cancel Plan
- Confirm cancellation
Your account reverts to the Free plan at the end of the current billing period. Your courses and learner data are retained. If you exceed Free plan limits, you'll need to delete content or upgrade to regain full access.
Selling courses (Stripe Connect)
To charge learners for courses, you need to connect a Stripe account. See Integrations for setup instructions.
